Malvina Tam Mei Wah was born in Hong Kong and started ballet training at an early age. She gained a BFA (honours) degree at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts(HKAPA), majoring in contemporary dance and choreography (2003-2008). She was awarded a full grant from Hong Kong Jockey Club, one of the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship schemes in Hong Kong for outstanding local students, to support her study. Mei Wah has worked with Rhiannon Faith O'Brien:dancingtheatrecompany(UK), Anton Mirto(IT), Robert Wood(US), DanceArt(HK), Y-Space(HK), Unlock Dancing Plaza(HK). During her studies, she worked with Robert Tannion, Raewyn Hills and Cheng Tsung-lung. She has toured with the academy performing two dance pieces created by John Utans and Jaime Redfern in Brussels, Den Haag, Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna and Singapore. She is now a freelance dance artists whose with a passionate heart on her profession and now based in London. Mei Wah joined TBDC in 2010.
